Build your crochet skills one square at a time!
Plan to make an afghan or a series of wash cloths, dish cloths, or dish towels.
This is a great series for the newest crocheters who want to learn skills in a steady pace throughout the year.
The Stitch Sampler Afghan contains 30 pattern options but not all work well as separate squares. The ones chosen have a variety of stitches and difficulty levels, intended to build skills throughout the year.

Materials:
Pattern: The Stitch Sampler Afghan From Annie's Attic Yarn $6.99
Worked as written, the 12 squares chosen will be 9.5 inches square and will take around 140 yards of worsted weight yarn.
The 12 squares combined would make a baby blanket sized afghan approximately 34 by 44 inches.
To make a larger afghan, we suggest enlarging the squares worked or increasing the number of squares total to 30.
Hook size will vary depending on the yarn used.
Our machine-washable suggestions include Malabrigo Rios, Berroco Remix, Scheepjes Cahlista or Softfun (held double)
Non-machine washable suggestions are Blue Sky Fibers Sweater, Woolstok and Kelbourne Woolens Germantown
For those wanting to make washcloths, dishcloths or dishtowels, also consider Scheepjes Catona, Catona Denim, Organicon, Bamboo Soft and Whirlette
