Socks are one of the great portable and satisfying projects in knitting, yet many knitters are nervous to try.
The class instruction will be paced to easily complete one sock in four 2 hour sessions. (A second sock can be worked simultaneously on a second set of needles if desired.)
Topics covered include
- measuring your feet and understanding negative ease.
- swatching for gauge
- stretchy cast-on
- knitting in the round on the needles that suit you best (double-point, 9 inch circulars, or magic loop)
- turning a heel
- shaping a toe and using a Kitchener graft to close it.
Included in the fee are the class materials: an Urthyarn Uneek Sock kit of your choice, one set of the needles right for you, and a printed/e-mailed copy of the Crazy Sock Lady's Vanilla Top down sock pattern.
