Since its launch in May 2015, the beautiful Scheepjes Catona yarns have become a go-to yarn for many crafters. Made from 100% Mercerised Cotton, this Fingering weight yarn is naturally breathable and characterised by a soft, delicate sheen and a smooth and supple touch. Create a range of garments, amigurumi, accessories, homeware items and toys for kids with this indispensable yarn! Being EN71-3 certified, Catona is safe to use by those with a sensitive touch such as babies or children, not to mention that this yarn is produced using recycled waste water, offering a more sustainable choice as well for eco conscious crafters. Available in an enormous range of 113 colours, enjoy endless colour combinations with Scheepjes Catona. Recommended needle/hook size is 2.50-3.50mm. Each ball of yarn weighs 50 grams and has a length of 125 metres. 

Available in a Colour Pack of 113 10g balls, as well 100g balls in several popular neutral colours.

    I love working with catona and the ONLY place I know of to find all the colors in stock is Around the Table Yarn shop.

    This is a lovely cotton in a wide range of colors, perfect for my granny square blanket. I will definitely use Catona again. I was also very pleased with the speedy shipping!

    I love this yarn. I crocheted a granny square baby blanket with it then machine-washed and machine-dried. I did this knowing the young new mother would never lay it flat to dry. Pre-wash, it was 44" square. After wash & dry, it was 41" square and SO SOFT. This cemented my love for Catona!

    I have found this is one of the best yarns for amigurumi dolls and toys. Especially for the dolls. It works up nice and tight, doesn’t split and the colors are beautiful. One of my favorites for crocheting dolls.

    Wonderful multi use thread. Great for amigurumi, bags, clothing, just about anything you can imagine. Great texture, sheen, and easy to work with.

    I ordered Catona to make another Spirit of the Volcano Wrap. The yarn is so gorgeous to work with and the colors are rich and saturated. Customer Service is awesome and is one of the reasons I always come back to order. Thank you so much, as always!!
