Balance payments for overnight accommodation must be paid in full by April 1st, 2026. Checks preferred, but credit cards are accepted, come in or call 216-230-9224 during shop hours to pay your balance by card. Checks should be payable to “Around the Table Yarns”. Mail or bring in checks to Around the Table Yarns 20085 Chagrin Boulevard, Shaker Heights, OH 44122. Daypass participants will have paid in full with their deposit. For overnight guests, prices after the $225 deposit will be as follows per person: Single room $1105, Shared Room $675, Shared Cabin $400.
Refunds will only be made by check from the shop after the retreat. Refunds requested by April 1st, 2025 will be in full. Refunds requested between April 2 - June 30, 2026, will be up to 50% of the amount paid. No refunds will be made on or after July 1st, 2026.
Class registration will be announced shortly. We will fill classes based on the when your retreat balance is paid in full. Class descriptions will be updated as we receive more details.

Friday am classes:
Barn - Evyn Caiazza - Gentle Morning Yoga 7 - 8 am (class limit 20) — All levels of yoga experience welcome. Bring your mat and wear loose comfortable clothing for an hour of peace and stretching before your retreat day begins. Not available for daypass attendees.
North Conference Room - 10 am - 12n Kate Atherley Pattern Reading with Basic Math for Knitters:
For knitters who are confident with their needles, but less confident with pattern instructions: this session is all about how to read and fully understand knitting patterns, and to handle the number puzzles that hide within them. We'll explain all those abbreviations and terms you encounter, like WS and "even", how to read instructions for repeats, and how to solve for “increase evenly across”. We'll demystify terms and techniques, and provide a master glossary so you'll never be lost again. We’ll talk about how to choose and substitute yarns, and how to check gauge to make sure that your piece comes out exactly the way the pattern promises. And we'll teach you how to understand pattern sizing and measurement information - including garment schematics -- with a focus on making sure you always choose the right size for garment patterns. This session is all about helping you take the next step as a knitter, so you can take on larger and more complex projects, with complete confidence. skill level: beginners, suitable for knitters who are confident with the mechanics of knitting, and are looking to take on their first pattern-based project. Students are welcome to bring any patterns they have questions about.
South Conference Room - 10a -12n Vincent Williams - Gateway to Crochet (class limit 30) — Add a completely new craft to your maker tool belt and join Vincent of Visuvio’s Crafts to set a sturdy foundation to your crochet skills. In this class we will cover everything from your tools and hook holds to various stitches, working flat vs. in-the-round, and 2 ways to begin (or “cast on” if you will) a project. Pattern: Hooked On You Cowl Materials to bring: 210-220 yards worsted weight yarn, US H / 5.00 mm crochet hook, Locking stitch markers, Scissors, Tapestry Needle.

North Conference Room - Kate Atherley 2 -5p Brioche Deep Dive (class limit 24) — For knitters with a little bit of experience with Brioche knitting, this class will build skills and explore techniques: syncopated brioche, standard and reversible increases and decreases, more complex stitch patterns, working from charts. We’ll also address fixing mistakes. Students will leave with a pattern for a brioche shawl that allows them to practise their skills.
South Conference Room - Vincent Williams 2 - 4 p Crochet Cables 101 (class limit 30) Students will learn the tools and mechanics of live loop crochet cables, including how cables impact gauge & tension, creating cable crosses/twists in different directions, working stationary vs. traveling cables, learning the difference between traditional front post cables and live loop cables, reading your fabric for how to count rows & stitches, reading written cable instructions, reading cable charts, finishing techniques and more. Together, students will crochet using written and charted instructions from the Sea Smoke Cowl by Vincent Williams and will be able to work live loop crochet cables with confidence by the end of this course! Video Room - Beginning Knitting - Part 1 with the staff of Around the Table Yarns 4-6p (class limit 12) — With demos and hands on help, we will teach the knitted cast-on and the knit stitch in this initial session. Materials to bring: US 8/5 mm straight knitting needles, 200 yards of worsted weight yarn

North Conference Room - Kate Atherley - Smart Strategies for Garment Knitting – Part 1 10 am - 12n Note: students are not required to take both sessions. This session is open to knitters of all levels. The first session covers garment structures and fit, explaining how to choose the best type of garment for you body and your style. We’ll talk about measuring your body for best fit, and demystify ease to ensure you are making the right size. We’ll dive into yarn choice, and strategies for checking and measuring gauge, and dealing with “lying swatches”. Along the way, we’ll share tips on choosing a good pattern. Students are encouraged to bring any patterns they have questions about.
South Conference Room - Vincent Williams Crochet Colorwork: Tapestry Crochet (class limit 30) We will learn fundamental skills, tips, and tricks to create a polished project in this fun colorwork technique! Select your favorite solid, speckled, or gradient color combinations to crochet my specially designed retreat pouch, which will steep you in colorwork confidence and let your creativity fly. Students will learn how to create the magic ring, how to transition between colors, how to read charts, and efficient yarn management. Skills required: chain and single crochet. Materials to bring: TBA

North Conference Room - Kate Atherley 2-5p Smart Strategies for Garment Knitting - Part 2 — this standalone session is aimed at knitters who have made several garments and are looking for strategies to customize and improve fit. Dive into the topic of garment alterations: row gauge adjustments, sleeve lengths, bust shaping, etc. Students are encouraged to bring any patterns or projects they have questions about.
South Conference Room - Vincent Williams 2:30-4:30p Crochet Colorwork: Intarsia Crochet (class limit 30) — In this crochet intarsia class, we will learn fundamental skills, tips, and tricks to create a polished project in this fun colorwork technique! Select your favorite solid, speckled, or variegated color combinations to crochet my Inbound Cowl, which will steep you in intarsia colorwork confidence and let your creativity fly. Students will learn how to make bobbins, to transition between colors, to read charts, and efficient yarn management. Technique Requirements: chain, single crochet, half double crochet. Pattern: Inbound Cowl Materials to bring: Worsted-weight yarn, 110 yards color A + 110 yards color B (feel free to bring more scrap yarn for the practice swatch), US I/5.50 mm crochet hook, 4 Locking stitch markers (optional), Scissors, Tapestry needle.

Video Room - Beginning Knitting - Part 2 with the staff of Around the Table Yarns 4 - 6 pm (class limit 12) — This is the second session of a 2 part class. Building on the work of the first class, we will teach binding off and the purl stitch.
