Our Adult Beginners Classes are intended for adults 16 years or older who are absolute beginners.
Classes will be taught right-handed; the vast majority of our left-handed students choose to learn right-handed with no issues.
Each class is comprised of 2 one-hour long lessons that cover the basics of crochet including the chain, single, half-double, and double crochet. All materials will be provided and include a skein of a worsted weight superwash merino wool in a light color. If you have a wool sensitivity and would prefer a different fiber, please let us know.

Masks will be provided and required at the discretion of the teacher. If you are participating in a class and need others to be masked due to your health condition, simply let the instructor know. If you are recovering from or have been exposed to COVID-19, please wear a mask to class to protect others.
HOW MANY STUDENTS ARE IN YOUR CLASSES?
Our beginner classes are small, with four students at the most.
WHERE ARE THE CLASSES LOCATED?
Our classroom space is located in our original space at 20085 Chagrin Boulevard. If the door is locked, simply ring the doorbell to be admitted. There is typically free parking available, but reserved spots for our neighbors should be respected.
DO I NEED TO REGISTER AHEAD OF TIME?
Payment is due upon time of registration. We are unable to hold spaces in classes and workshops without prepayment.
WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?
Around the Table Yarns reserves the right to cancel a class due to insufficient registration, instructor emergency or inclement weather and will refund the class fee or offer a store credit. Class fees are only refundable if the class is canceled by the shop.
If a student notifies us of a schedule conflict prior to one week in advance of the class, they can choose a one-time transfer to a different class or a store credit.
We understand that emergencies can happen. If you need to cancel within one week of the initial class, please contact the shop. If we are able to fill your space, we are happy to provide you with a one time transfer or a store credit. We are unable to provide a store credit or transfer if we are not able to fill your space due to our obligations to our instructors.
CAN I BRING MY…(Pet, Child, Other adult)…
Please do not bring your children or pets with you to class. An adult non-participant may stay in the classroom with the permission of the instructor.
WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS BAD OR I HAVE TO MISS ONE OF MY CLASSES?
If we do not cancel or reschedule classes, but you choose not to attend, please contact the shop to find out when you can come in to catch up the missed classwork. As space allows, we will arrange for you to attend a different class taught by the same instructor or receive free help during regular store hours.
WHAT IF THE CLASS I WANT IS FULL?
