Made from 100% Mercerised Cotton, this Fingering weight yarn is naturally breathable and characterised by a soft, delicate sheen and a smooth and supple touch. Being EN71-3 certified, Catona is safe to use by those with a sensitive touch such as babies or children, not to mention that this yarn is produced using recycled waste water, offering a more sustainable choice as well for eco conscious crafters. Available in an enormous range of 113 colours, enjoy endless colour combinations with Scheepjes Catona. Recommended needle/hook size is 2.50-3.50mm. Each ball of yarn weighs 50 grams and has a length of 125 metres.

Knots in the one skein
In the one seeing of old lace thete were several knots (joins) just a couple of feet apart which I think is unacceptable. The fir color had one or two knots in each skein which I can live with.

Best 100% cotton yarn Ive found for crotcheting small Amigurumi figures. Works up smoothly, doesn’t separate or tangle. Only yarn I buy for making my gnomes and small dolls.
